Day 1: From Addis to Wenchi – Hike, Explore & Campfire VibesWe begin our journey early in the morning from Ghion Hotel in Addis
Ababa, heading westward through the beautiful highlands to Ambo and then on to Wenchi Crater Lake. Upon arrival, we’ll begin a scenic hike down into the crater, enjoying panoramic viewpoints, fresh mountain air, and local encounters along the way. At the lake’s edge, enjoy a peaceful canoe ride across the crater lake, stopping by the historic island monastery. Then indulge in a unique natural mud bath and refreshing hot spring shower, a perfect moment to reconnect with the Earth. In the afternoon, we'll set up camp near the lake, surrounded by serene nature. There will be time for swimming, relaxing by the wooden bridge, and sharing playful moments with friends. As the sun sets, we’ll gather around the campfire for dinner, stories, laughter, and warm tea under a sky full of stars. The quiet of the night and the sound of nature will cradle us to sleep.
